The Cuiaba Integrated Project consists of four companies (GOM, GOB, TBS, EPE) that on an integrated basis operate a power plant in Brazil, purchase natural gas in Bolivia and transport it through pipelines to Brazil for use as a fuel in the generation of electrical energy at the Cuiaba - EPE power plant. See fact sheet for Cuiaba- GOM/GOB/TBS for a description of the pipelines.
Our subsidiary EPE is a power generation company that operates a dual fuel (natural gas/diesel), combined-cycle power plant located in Cuiaba, Mato Grosso, Brazil. EPE's in-service date was April 1999 and it began commercial operations in May 2002. EPE generally has not operated since August 2007 due to lack of gas supply.
