Through its operating companies, AEI has generated power since 1993. We aim to provide our communities with dependable power, and to that end, in 2007 our company-wide power plant reliability was 98%. Most of our power generation businesses sell substantially all of their generating capacity under long-term contracts, primarily to state-owned entities.
